Steering Vibrations
Moderator:Neo
Hi Ppl,
I really require your help. I drive a Hyundai Azera 2006. From last 1.5years i had this steering vibrations above 110km/h. I had done wheel balancing many times from different shops. But no difference.
Recently i gave my car for 100k service to the dealer and they said my tyre is causng this problem. So i replaced the tyres with new ones. Kumho Solus K15 series. But the vibrations are still there. I think there is some problem with front suspension. Can anyone point me in a right direction, what should i check for ?
Thanks

Hi Abizar, it's Darthoz from Tbreak
Check on the inner side of your rims if you can. Maybe just try and run with a diff set of alloys & see if you still have any vibrations, if you have time then just take out your spare tyre and replace it with one of the rims and run & do that with all 4 . Maybe you will get your answer
I dont know anyone would do the last step , but i've done it once for my corolla just to find out which rim was bad.

Does it shake when you brake? I had this problem, warped discs 100% of the time. No shaking under braking, only at speed? Hmm, could be geometry, off-centre hub, drive shaft, shocks, so many things... You basically need a really good mechanic to diagnose this as it could be so many things.
From my class today i was told
If Body Shake
Check your steering components
Check Suspensions
Check Axle or hub
Worm shocks or strut assemblues
Broken or sagging springs
Structural damage but that cant be possible cuz your car is quiet new
actually all of the above problems usually don't show up on new cars, but you should still check.
Cheers!
