Why is it so hard to find tires here? Nobody has what the advertise and "ill call you back" means i'm going to forget about you now.
Has anybody had a positive experience buying tires in Dubai that they can recommend? just need a 225/45/18 thats Y or Z rated. (Y)

Be abit more specific..Which car is it? Also are you looking for a certain brand?
Usually you should find them at Al Khubair or nearby shops

If it's hard to find, Khubair won't have it. They don't have 205/45 R15, so the smiling retard there asked me to buy 195/50. %#%$ moron.

its for my Leon Cupra, i must just have bad luck, every shop I go to only has one or two of the same tire, replacing four must be unusual, scary enough yellow hat had the best prices on the Dunlop's other shops were up to 200 dhs more

Just noticed you guys are talking about Yellow Hat, i suggest anyone planning to buy anything from Yellow Hat to beware and AVOID buying Anything from them! They will cheat you by selling items without warranty and will not replace or repair if the item is faulty! Me & a friend had a horrible experience with them!

My friend Bought Sub woofer with Box, Amp & Speakers Bundle from them and Installed from Delta. The speakers were of No use as they dint fit his car, but they were not planning to take it back nor exchange it for something of similar value. The Sub woofer stopped working in 5 days and we took it to Yellow Hat the next day because the Sub stopped working suddenly & we came to know that they don't have WARRANTY on the product! Just because we installed it from Outside they will not be able to claim warranty for the Sub Which just stopped working.

As per the technician the Coil is dead and the Sub is useless. They told if we have to repair it they will charge additional or asked us to Buy a NEW one from them instead. They are USELESS *&^% that just want to loot your money and just Lie & sell products without Warranty! I would NEVER buy anything from Yellow Hat!

dont waste your time and phone credit calling useless tyre shops here.
first of they ask you what car you have? i mean wtf? i am giving you the exact size i need, why ask what car? its almost as if the answer to that will decide the pricing your going to get.
+ the buggers never ever call you back.

goto tirerack and buy it online, will ship in 3 days approx. as long as tyre is ECE rated tirerack will ship to uae.

offtopic: no real petrolhead would ever step foot into yellowhat, they got tons of cheap junk like the $1 stores in the US. avoid them, avoid their installers who will destroy your car trying to install a set of speakers.

you hit it right on the head, I didn't know tire rack would ship out here, you've used them before? how bad was the shipping? And i've noticed yellow hat is pretty bad, I always used to give the shops in the US for not knowing anything about cars and they know even less.

You have to email tirerack for a quote. I have purchased a set over a year ago.
You will have to wire transfer the money. They will not accept PayPal or credit cards from intl customers.

They will only ship certain tyres now to UAE thanks to the new vague tyre rules here. Tell them what size you want and they could give some suggestions. Once payment is made shipping is quite fast.

Edit:I think I paid $200 shipping a set of 18inchers,but it was a year back so can't remember.
