Can someone (Sam, or any of the mods!) organize one please? It would be an amazing event! We'd meet up for Iftar, on a road trip with BBQ, or a restaurant. It will also be a real neat social event and for the members to get to know each other.
What say?
UPDATE:
New Date: Thursday, 2nd September 2010
Location: Barbecue Delights, Karama
Time: 6:00 PM
Fees: 55 AED / person (Buffet)

BBQ Delights . I organized an Iftar last Ramadan for some Tech forum buddies...at Chicken Tikka Inn (this is the one in Ghusais, not the Americana one), they said the food was oily
These are my suggestions:
1. Barbecue Delights (Near Lamcy, buffet)
2. Chicken Tikka Inn (Ghusais, buffet)
3. Danial Iranian Restaurant (Al Mazaya Center, Deira Twin Towers, Sharjah, buffet)
4. Ibrahimi (Karama, buffet)
5. Foodland (Near DNATA, buffet)
6. Other (suggest one)
I've had ALL of the above, and love 'em all . I love Chicken, simply put, haha.
We also need to figure out whether we'd just rendezvous at a restaurant for iftar, then go for a drive/sheesha, or, go for a drive, then meet a restaurant.

I've gone to Ibrahimi quite a few times and its amazing

Ideally, we should be going to a place which has an Iftar menu on offer, as it's a proper environment and true value for money. All the restaurants I've listed offer that.
