“With
great power, comes great responsibility.”
Following the Spiderman quote, it was fun working
on another project. Taking over the streets of
Ras-Al-Khaimah, blazing off the highways of Dubai,
a joint effort by Khalifa Hamad Al Musafri
and Jassim Matar Al Kubaisi in
building the all-HKS 800hp Nissan Skyline BNR34
V-Spec II, reviving the Arabian import racing
culture following the decline of many racing teams
from all around the region… |
|
Having the HKS beast for over 15 months, Jassim
had to spend couple of months legalizing the ride
in accordance to the government’s policy
of left-hand-only vehicles. The process took more
than 5 months, which included the RHD to LHD conversion
in addition to a complete engine re-built and
custom exterior styling. All-set for drag and
show-and-shine events, to begin with, Jassim was
first seen catching the attention of the audience
at the first-time Ten of the Best 2006 event held
in the Emirates Motorplex. The styling strategy
included a full Nismo body kit, with the exception
of custom GT rear spoiler. Made-to-order graphics
detail the infuriated expression of the GT-R while
standard rims help maintain the general color
scheme.

Parts of the LHD-converted interior show off a match-up
of standard leather-black and glossy blue. Monitoring
gadgets include a set of Defi gauges (boost, oil
& fuel pressure) while Blitz turbo timer programs
heating/cooling intervals.
