I use my seatbelt all the time every time. Doesn't matter what I am driving. I just do not want to be reminded by the car annoyingly about it, especially at a drive thru or through a parking gate when I remove the seat belt to access something. The chime is super annoying and unfortunately for me the sound actually stops from thinking straight. Also, there are certain situations when members of my family think they are part of the SWAT team and remove their seat a few blocks away from where I park and the chime just annoys me.
This method of disabling the chime does not affect the working of any other electronics. If the seatbelt is not worn, the airbag will not work. Again, I do not recommend or endorse people to not wear their seatbelts. I found this very useful to me and thought to share it.

Please wear your seatbelts and drive safe. I hope this thread does not cause harm to any person because that is not my intention.

No offense taken. Just thought I will make my intentions clear.

The easiest way would be to open the buckle and disconnect the sensor wire that triggers the warning signal.
Tried it on my lumina and it works great you can always plug it back in later if you want to (Y)
